Cornhole Game Rules

Cornhole Game Bags

There should be a total of 8 bags one set of 4 is one color or pattern and the other set of 4 another.

Cornhole Game Boards

The boards are placed 30 feet from hole to hole apart. The cornhole game board surface should be 2′ x 4′. A 6” hole should be 9” from the back of the board and 12” from the sides.

Scoring

1 point for a bag that is on the board. A bag that goes through the hole is 3 points. Zero points are for bags that are touching the ground. Bags that bounce up onto the board are removed and do not count. When all bags are thrown you add up the total points for each team and the winners take the difference added to their score. This is known and net net scoring; loser score subtracted from winners taking the net amount.

How the Cornhole Game is Played

Partners play from opposite boards. Each team has 4 bags, all of the same color. All bags are on one side for a round. Players, who are on opposing teams but standing on the same side, alternate throwing bags. When all 8 bags are thrown score is tallied. The cornhole game continues until you hit 15 or 21.
